Hi, This is a great sporting week in the Pacific.First of all the fijian rugby league National team has thrashed France and has Scotland on its way to qualify for Semi final in Rugby League World Cup. In Soccer, the champion district of Fiji Soccer Ba and Solomon Islands Koale FC have played to a nil all draw and Melbourne cup race is on as well. Samoa and Tonga also faced off in Rugby league World Cup where Samoa proved to be bit stronger than Tonga.
However, FACT team was as usual very busy as all five members are out of office attending to various assignment. I went to Nadi and Lautoka to attend workshop organized by FRIENDS on empowering rural women.
Grant V is in Vanuatu and then travel to Tonga, Manasa has just returned from Tonga while Dr Lex is in Solomons. Sanfred Smith is in Taveuni.
The much anticipated TAG meeting is on 10th Nov to decide on the 15 projects that FACT will work with.
